Dozer-Style Undercarriage

Traction with Low Ground Pressure

The Case 400 Series UndercarriageThe Case Compact Track Loaders have a robust undercarriage based on extensive experience with large excavators and crawler dozers. Because of the rigid track frame, which has no moving parts, it's easier to maintain compared to suspension track systems.

Angled track frame cover - Works with steel scrapers to keep material and mud from getting in the way of track movement. Run your equipment longer with less service and maintenance on the track. Less material build up means less time spent cleaning the track at the end of the day.

One-piece final drive - Gives the machinemore gear-to-gear contct for increased component life. Provides a better transfer of power, making the machine more efficient and less costly to operate.

Simple track adjustment - Add grease to a hydraulic tensioning cylinder to quickly and easily adjust the track.

Long life, smooth ride - Steel embedded rubber tracks provide a longer lasting track and a smoother ride. Lowers cost and reduces downtime.

Engines

Low costs, Productive Power, Long Life

400 Series 3 Tier III Engines are Engineered for Power and Low Operating CostsYou can depend on the Case 400 Series Compact Track Loaders for outstanding performance, thanks to the power plants at the heart of these models. Case Tier III certified engones meet federal emissions standards while delivering the power to make Case Compact Track Loaders more productive. Turbocharged engines provide additional torque and quick response. They are ideal for high-altitude operation, excavating, or running high horsepower hydraulic attachments. Working in wet climates, or on hilly terrain, the 400 series 3 Compact Track Loaders can’t be beat when you’re looking for high torque and immediate response in a compact package.

The Case Family III Engines figure well into the low cost of ownership equation, getting the job done with low RPMs for less wear and longer life. The integral water pump and oil cooler are easily accessed for service, getting you back on the job quickly. And piston oil cooling keeps the engine running cooler for less wear on components. All compact track loader engines feature a 500-hour oil change recommendation. The balanced cooling system on the 400 Series features an oil cooler next to the fan, helping to cool both the engine and the hydraulic system.

Optional jump start terminals, combined with the master disconnect switch, aid in long-term storage, convenient cold weather starting and theft prevention. An engine grid heater option is also available to aid cold weather engine start-ups. All Case engines in these Loaders come with one of the best warranties in the business — 2 years/2,000 hours.

Loader Arm Design - Vertical Lift

The industry's highest lift capacity

The vertical lift design allows for full reach and the highest lift availableDesigned with a Power Reach vertical heavy-lift loader linkage, the 445CT offers the industry's highest lift capacity. Easily lift heavy pallets of brick or large bales, then precisely load trailers or trucks. Plus, the design gives you maximum reach all the way to full height, helping you load into the middle of high-sided dump trucks.

For greater productivity levels, add the hydraulic self-leveling option. With the hydraulic self-leveling feature, the bucket maintains a level position while the loader arms are raised, for faster cycle times.

Loader Arm Design - Radial Lift

The radial lift design provides for the fastest loader cycle available todayThe Power Cycle radial linkage loader arm design provides the fastest loader cycle on the market and allows excellent digging and material handling capabilities. Brute strength, and sturdy construction of the durable unitized chassis, offers plenty of power to dig, cut grade or push piles. Whether you’re running a trencher, backhoe or hammer, the linkage design is up to the challenge.

A cast bucket link with a top-mounted cylinder features a single pivot point that allows faster raise, lower, rollback and dump times. Thanks to its unique loader linkage design, mechanical two-way self-leveling is standard on the 450CT, which means more material stays in the bucket. It is also easier to position attachments for greater versatility and productivity. The 450CT has a 124.5-in. (3.16-m) hinge pin height, making it ideal for materialhandling tasks such as dumping into high-sided trucks.

Ease of Maintenance

Maximize uptime to maximize profit

Easy access to the Air Filters and other service points makes daily maintenance a very quick taskCase 400 Series Machines are designed to keep you on the job with built-in serviceability features for maximum uptime. All models feature a low SAE maintainability index rating. The easy-tilt ROPS is just one of the reasons for the low maintainability index ratings. It is exclusive on Case Machines. Simply remove two bolts and tilt the ROPS, and you have full access to the engine and other major components in just a minute or two. With easy access to major components, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting and service repair can be performed quickly, getting the machine back on the jobsite.

Smart design

Many components are designed to save money and prevent downtime. The hydraulic pumps are coupled directly to the engine to help prevent power loss and costly belt maintenance. Orderly hose routings keep hoses organized and safe from damage. Plated steel tubing is also used to promote long life and aid in hydraulic cooling.

One-stop daily checkpoints

A single location for daily checkpoints saves time. All checkpoints are easily accessed from the rear of the machine under the lockable hood and behind the swing-out service door. There are no side panels to remove. Open the rear hood to reach the fuel fill, oil fills, engine oil dipstick and the air cleaner. Swing out the rear service door for a quick check of the coolant and hydraulic oil levels. And you’ll appreciate how easy it is to clean the cooling system. Just pull out the radiator for easy access. And easy access means the checkpoints are more likely to be checked daily, contributing to longer machine life.

You’ll get more years of operation from your compact track loader thanks to the filtration systems on the 400 Series. The standard dual-element air cleaner system ensures extended air filter life. A 6-micron hydraulic oil filter provides added protection.

FREE 100-hour inspection Coleman Equipment helps make sure you get the biggest performance from your Compact Track Loader. Every 400 Series Machine comes with a FREE 100-hour inspection, ensuring that your machine is adjusted to perform at its optimal, most productive level.
